Alberto's Mexican Food - Hemet: Reviews & Ratings
First visit was an outstanding experience. I'll be back! Second visit on 5/14/22 reviewed below. Went through the drive thru: Speaker and mic for ordering was 5 by 5 (loud & clear); Modified order was no problem (I love quacamole, however, it doesn't like me). No waiting line! I was able to make my order immediately even though it was jusr after 4pm. The employee at the speaker and window was courteous, friendly and fast. Humorous, as well. . I gave a decent tip and thanked them for doing the cooking for me. Food : I requested 'a lot' of both the Salsa Rojo (Red) and Verde (Green) salsa. They provided an abundant amount of both. Both have excellent but, different, flavors. The Salsa Rojo is a little hotter than the Salsa Verde. I enjoyed both a great deal, and caught myself having a hard time deciding which one to have at times. Carne Asada Burrito (no Quacamole); loved it! This exactly how I like my carne asada to taste. The subtle spices and the slight charing of the chopped steak made the perfectly flavored carne asada. Size was huge. I will restrain myself next time and take a photo of the burrito before I scarf it down. Kind of difficult to hold back after driving home with the aroma of the carne asada burrito bombarding your olfactory receptors. You'll see. I found either salsa went well with the carne asada burrito. I did not try combining the salsas, as I have done in the past with carne asada burritos from other places. I have found it to work well at a little over half the places. This time I just wanted to become familiar with and enjoy each salsa on the carne asada burrito. Rolled Tacos (3), Plain (Cheese only); once again very good rolled tacos - a lot of very flavorful meat filling. Shells had perfect crunch - no softness and not overly crunchy. I tried both the Salsa Rojo and the Salsa Verde withthe rolled tacos, and I found that I preferred the Salsa Verde over the Salsa Rojo. The Salsa Rojo was good too, I just preferred the Salsa Verde. Bottom line: As I said at the top it was an outstanding experience. I plan to return and resample what I already had. Then I will try some other items off their menu. I recommend this Alberto's Mexican Restaurant to anyone. p.s. I understand they are looking for some Part Time and Full Time cooks. There are definitely worse things to do than produce food this tasty! * * * * * * Second Visit on 5/14/22 * * * * * * Same great drive thru as first visit! This time I couldn't resist trying Alberto's "Flying Saucer" Tostada! (No Guacamole): A beautifully balanced and succulent combination of a light, crispy shell (like a shallow bowl); perfectly flavored shredded beef; fresh shredded lettuce; whole cooked beans; diced tomato; chopped onion; sour cream; shredded cheese; slivers of jalapeño; a scattering of cilantro. Topped with one Salsa Roja and one Salsa Verde. Photos with Salsas and without Salsas uploaded. Delicious! Too much for me to finish in one meal so I have leftovers for later. Thank you Alberto's!!! 8/5/22 Another good visit to the Alberto's drive thru to bring home a Shredded Beef Flying Saucer, three Beef Rolled Tacos, Quacamole on the side, Hot Carrots, and Hot Sauces. We snarfed it all down!
Food was prepared to order at the drive through. I only ordered a bacon breakfast burrito, and while not served as quickly as some places that have things prepared in advance and sitting in a heating area, my food still took only a few minutes and served hot and delicious. For the price, the size was excellent, and the workers were friendly and helpful. If I travel through this area again, I wil surely stop in again!
Pretty good food, couldn't believe how much prices went up since the last burrito I had there but it was pricey. Could've went to a nice restaurant for a few extra bucks.
I have eaten here a few times and have no complaint. Last time I got the three beef rolled tacos for $6.99 and they were good! Generous portion of guacamole and cheese. Customer service is unremarkable; not exceptional or subpar. The drive thur is quick. There is parking up front and this place is conveniently located between Homeland, Hemet, and Winchester.
Oh my gosh, I think this is the best season meat in the entire area of Hemet. I crave for roll tacos all the tome and always receive them cold from other location. I'm either Pissed off they are too hard. Not this place! They were extremely hot and cooked to profession whoever is the cook he is an extreme keeper and he is amazing. Please give him his prompts. The young lady at the drive-through window isn't too friendly at all, she won't even say thank you and have a good night. She just gave me my bed and slammed her window that this five star is for the cook. I'm telling you I was so shocked to finally get someone who knows how to cook roll tacos right but I give five star for the cook and outstanding Hot meal while getting off of work at 10 o'clock at night. I found my spot and this is where I will come from now on to eat Mexican food. Sorry Sanderson Avenue this location has you beat. The meat is well seasoned here at the location.
CarneAsada was seasoned pretty good, i forgot to ask for salsa, food was ready in under 5min for a burrito and the fries bill came out to lil over 30.00 staff was friendly

Alberto's Mexican Food - Hemet stands out as a true gem for Mexican cuisine lovers in the heart of Hemet, California. Located conveniently on CA-74, this vibrant eatery offers a rich menu that honors traditional flavors while delivering generous portions and authentic taste. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick breakfast burrito or indulging in their signature carne asada dishes, Alberto’s consistently impresses with its well-seasoned meats and vibrant salsas.
The star of the menu has to be the Carne Asada Burrito—a hefty, flavorful masterpiece with perfectly charred steak infused with subtle spices. Paired with the salsa rojo, which brings a welcoming heat, or the milder, tangy salsa verde, it elevates every bite. The choice to savor each salsa separately allows the palate to appreciate their distinct profiles, from the spicy warmth of the red to the fresh zest of the green.
Another standout is the Three Beef Rolled Tacos. The shells maintain an ideal crunch—never too soft or overly crisp—while the meat inside bursts with flavor. The dish pairs beautifully with both salsas, though the refreshing salsa verde seems to be a fan favorite, cutting through the richness perfectly. Fans of complex, balanced textures and bold tastes will find this dish particularly satisfying.
For something uniquely delicious, the Beef Flying Saucer Tostada is a must-try. This elegantly crafted plate features a crisp tostada “bowl” loaded with tender shredded beef, beans, fresh vegetables, and a delightful combination of sour cream and cheese. Topped with jalapeño slivers and cilantro, it creates a symphony of textures and tastes—light, yet packed with depth. The addition of both salsa roja and verde rounds out this dish with a dynamic flavor contrast.
Patrons frequently highlight the consistently hot and well-prepared meals delivered through a fast, friendly drive-thru service. The team’s attentiveness to accommodating modifications, like skipping guacamole, shows genuine care for customer preferences. While some note room for improvement in customer interactions at the window, the quality and flavor of the food far overshadow minor service hiccups.
Overall, Alberto's Mexican Food - Hemet is a reliable destination for those craving hearty, authentic Mexican fare prepared with skill and passion. From breakfast staples to late-night cravings, their menu delivers satisfying meals that keep customers returning. Whether it’s the savory carne asada, the crispy rolled tacos, or the vibrant salsas that steal your attention, Alberto’s offers a memorable dining experience that truly honors classic Mexican flavors.
